Adidas produced a new line of shoes called SuperLight which takes style notes from the most iconic model, the Superstar, but is targeting the consumer who is looking for a low-profile, driving-type silhouette. The shoe is not a full fledged driving shoe, persay, but more of a hybrid between the SS and Goodyear product. The all-leather shoe is lightweight and carries the versatility of the Superstar with the freshness and styling of a fusion product. Adidas needed compelling graphics to promote this shoe during the holiday season.
Developed a shoe panel and identity mark that lived up to this light weight shoe and promoted the driving shoe style. The mark was influenced by old-school driving clubs and worked well with the whispy, tattoo inspired illustrations that visually hold up this airy shoe on the panel.
